A Memorable Introduction to the Game of Soccer

Remember when you were 5? Life was about play, fun and making friends. The Dinomites program brings that same spirit of fun and adventure to the entire family and establishes a soccer experience that lasts a lifetime. This program is the first in a series of three educational soccer programs that support the growth and development of players at the younger age levels. This 10 week, age specific program, is a step by step interactive development guide for youth soccer organizations that run U4, U5, and U6 programs. The curriculum is based around the adventures of Dino and his sister Deana and there are three principles that act as its foundation;
  • Story Telling
  • Imagination
  • Play

WHEN:  Friday Evenings (2 sessions are available  @ 6pm and 7pm)
11/11, 11/18,  12/9, 12/16, 1/6
WHERE: Aston Community Center
COST: $35 per child

PEE WEE PLAYERS ONLY!

The sessions will be run by Amanda Becker.
Registration will be accepted at the first session.

For more details or to let us know you are attending: E-Mail Dottie Canavin at d-canavin@comcast.net

All of the learning points are integrated into the games, stories and play; this allows the children to learn in their natural environment while having fun. The role of the coach is one of story teller, with the coaching points integrated into the stories. Learning to play with the ball is all part of the stories and the fun. Each child has their own Dinomites ball that becomes their soccer friend and helps them understand how to move the ball. The ball has been designed to show the fundamental touch points for moving the ball. The parents will be involved through the use of the Backyard Activity Booklet that is based upon the adventures of Dino and Deana. The program is fun for player’s coaches and parents alike, it will create a memorable soccer experience for everyone involved and it will leave everyone looking forward to their next soccer season.

Kids:

We are happy that you are going to be playing soccer this year, it is a fun game. You will make new friends and have fun with the many soccer adventures. What’s best is that you can do all this with mom and dad, so you can make soccer a great family adventure. Deana and Dino will be with you all the way and they are glad that you are going to have a fun season of soccer with them.
The Dinomites Program gives you;
-         Fun stories and adventures
-         A special soccer ball friend
-         A chance to make new friends
-         A fun time with Mom and Dad

2011 Aston Community Day

2011 Aston Community Day

The annual Aston Township Community Day will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011. The event will begin with a parade going from Neumann University to the Aston Township Community Center. Aston Youth Soccer Association participates every year, but starting this year, we really want to show our neighbors what we are all about. Most if not all games have been moved to late in the day on Saturday or Sunday to allow our players to participate in the parade and other festivities. We really want to see a great turnout for the parade, and we are asking that if at all possible, every player come and march in the parade wearing your team jersey.

If you would like to participate in the parade, you will need to be at Neumann no later than 9 am.

This is a great opportunity to show off our AYSA pride so please come out and help support the organization!

Pee Wee Update – August 2011

Parents,

There is a mandatory  peewee meeting on Wed. September 7th at the Aston Community Center @ 7:00.  Please make every effort to attend.

Our fall 2011 season will start off on Saturday September 10th. Children will need a peewee size soccer ball and shin guards for our fall program.

Once again we are proud to have UK Elite back to manage our training for our fall 2011 peewee program.

The players will play on Saturday mornings, there is no preseason or practices for peewee players.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our Peewee coordinator Dotti Canavin at speedracermcdc@msn.com
